How consultants join the network

Approval is not a paper exercise. Three things sit behind it.

• Lead auditor qualified. Every consultant in the network is a qualified lead auditor with real audit experience behind them, so they know what an assessor will ask for and why.
• A track record we have seen. Consultants are approved on the strength of work we already know, not on the strength of an application form.
• Kept under review. Approval is not permanent. It is reviewed on the basis of how their clients' management systems actually hold up over time.

The test we apply is simple enough: does the organisation end up with a management system its own people can run, or one that only works while the consultant is still involved.

Getting an introduction

Tell us what you need. The standards in scope, roughly how big the organisation is, where you are based and what sort of timescale you are working to is usually enough to go on.

We will introduce you to a consultant from the network who suits the job. If we do not have a good fit available, we will say so rather than make an introduction for the sake of it.

Or set the system up yourself

Plenty of organisations do not need a consultant at all. Where there is someone internally who can lead the work and has the time to give it, a good document toolkit is usually enough to get to a certifiable management system.
